Have you ever noticed that a lot of non-organic household products don’t have ingredients list on their label? What big companies try to hide? Actually, there are compounds that are harmful to nature and carcinogenic or allergy-related and are also highly irritating! Of course, when we use household products we can use gloves to protect the skin but we can’t protect our respiratory system from smells and mist. And it is very sad that finally everything goes to the sewerage system and then to the ocean! We pollute our nature just because we use non-organic household products!
Some examples of non-organic household product’s compounds:
Hydrogen chloride Inhalation of the fumes can cause coughing, choking, inflammation of the nose, throat, and upper respiratory tract, and in severe cases, pulmonary edema, circulatory system failure, and death. Skin contact can cause redness, pain, and severe skin burns. Hydrogen chloride may cause severe burns to the eye and permanent eye damage.
Hydrochloric Acid a corrosive effect on human tissue, with the potential to damage respiratory organs, eyes, skin, and intestines irreversibly.
Propylene Glycol It has been associated with irritant and allergic contact dermatitis as well as contact urticaria in humans; these sensitization effects can be manifested at propylene glycol concentrations as low as 2%.
Alcohol Denat - Organ system toxicity (non-reproductive); Other LOW concerns: Enhanced skin absorption, Data gaps, Occupational hazards
Methylchloroisothiazolinone -has been associated with allergic reactions. Lab studies on the brain cells of mammals also suggest that methylisothiazolinone may be neurotoxic.
