I was sure that in Australia everyone knows that a lotion with SPF must be used from October until April. But I was very surprised when I understood that a lot of women don’t use it even in summer.
They think that a broad-brim style hat can help. It is very dangerous to think like that. A hat (even with a wide brim) can’t fully protect you from the ultra-violet rays because they reflect from buildings, asphalt, sand and so on and you still get a high level of UV.
Why it is so dangerous? Because ultra-violet is a number one in ageing. This factor is even more important than your genes. If you don’t want to look ten years older when you are 40, you need to use SPF creams.
Also, sunbathing (even with SPF cream) ages your skin very quickly. Sun radiation cause birthmarks, warts and dark spots and the older you are the more chances you get these problems.
Long exposure to UV rays can also cause skin cancer (melanoma). Don’t risk your health and beauty – use creams with SPF and reduce sunbathing (beautiful suntan today turns to wrinkles tomorrow).
I know that many people don’t use creams with SPF because they have allergies and irritation after that.
For example, I have red spots if I apply SPF directly to the skin so I use my Ecobeauty cream first, wait for 1 minute and then apply sunblock. The result is no irritation and good protection.
